Tom Bagby


Tom grew up in a Christian home with his 9 siblings in West Deptford, NJ. He made his faith personal in middle school and was baptized at the age of 13. As an adult, he grew and defined his faith while serving as a deacon at his home church. He was also involved in many activities at his church including leading the youth group and college and career group.

Tom is a Senior VP of Operations at Budge Industries and because his job is located in Pennsylvania, he moved to the Willow Grove area. Not long after moving, he began attending Hope Community Church and has been active in a number of ministries including youth group, men’s ministry and ushering as well as church sponsored mission trips. Tom has been an elder since 2008.

Steve O’Bott


Steve was raised in a Christian home in the local area. He began to follow Christ on his own and was baptized during high school years as God used Cru’s high ministry as a tool in his life in the early 1980’s. He continued to be involved with Cru during his college days in the 1980’s at Albright College in Reading where he met his wife, Phyllis whom he married in 1989. They joined the church that same year and have used their gifts to serve in various ways over the years. Phyllis continued her education getting her Masters in New Testament from Biblical Seminary where Steve also attended during evenings over many years. In 1995 they relocated to Istanbul, Turkey where in addition to working secular jobs, they served at a foundation that enabled Turks to learn about the life and teachings of Jesus and also at an indigenous Turkish church using their gifts. They moved back to the States in 2001 and have been residing in Willow Grove. Steve joined the elder board in 2003. Steve and Phyllis have six children, four of whom they have adopted over the years. Together with others they helped start a ministry team at the church focused on adoption and foster care. Steve has worked in the technology sector since the mid 1980’s and is currently serving as the director of site data architecture for PayPal in San Jose, CA.

Dom Savoca


Dom and his wife Linda became followers of Christ in 1977, 3 months after they married. They have 3 boys (all in their 30s) and 4 grandchildren, ages 2 to 5. For 30 years, Dom worked at an engineering firm where he rose to plant manager, corporate VP and Chief Operating Officer. He retired in 2003 and has been volunteering as full-time staff elder at Hope Community Church. Dom was a part of the small core group of like-minded believers who founded Family Bible Church in 1980, where he’s been an elder since 1982. In 2002, the church name was changed to Hope Community Church emphasizing a new focus on being community minded. Dom’s main duties today are managing the HCC staff and acting elder overseeing the children’s program. His life verses are Proverbs 3:5-6.

Rich Sybesma


Rich was born and raised in a Christian home in North New Jersey where he enjoyed a Christian school education. He married his wife, Beverly in 1973; after finishing college in Philadelphia at Spring Garden College and Temple University studying building construction and architecture. He has worked in the construction industry for 44 years and ran his own company for 30 years. He now works as a project consultant for a local remodeling company. His passions are his four children, their spouses, 11 grandchildren, traveling and camping with his wife. He was part of the small group of men that were discipled by a local pastor and founded Family Bible Church in 1980, where he has been an elder since then. The church changed its name to Hope Community Church emphasizing a new direction for the church to reach our community. Rich volunteers at Hope as an elder ministering to a local nursing home, leads a small group and leads the church in our emphasis in foreign and local missions. First John 1:9 continues to speak to him.

Chick Wasson


Chick has been a Christ-follower for more than 60 years. He married his wife Luane in 1972; they have three adult children and one grandchild. He has worked in construction for 47 years and owns his own construction business. He loves to disciple men and encourage them to study God’s word. Chick was a part of the small core group of like-minded believers who founded Family Bible Church in 1980, where he’s been an elder since 1980. In 2002, the church name was changed to Hope Community Church emphasizing a new focus on being community minded. Chick volunteers at Hope as the staff elder overseeing the worship team and the facilities team. One of his favorite verses is Ephesians 4:29.

Andrew Savoca

Youth Director

Andrew was born into a Christian family and accepted Christ as his savior at 5 years old. Later in life, as a teenager in Youth Group, Andrew rededicated his life to Christ as he started to learn more about what it meant to follow Him wholly. Andrew was a student leader in his Youth Group and God grew in him a passion for helping his peers through difficult times, so much so that he attended Cairn University (formerly PBU), to begin his degree in Youth Ministry. Fast forward many years, Andrew is now married to his wife Jess, and has two kids, Ethan (4) and Abigail (2) and is working here at Hope Community Church for the last 3 years full-time as the Youth Director.
