Come out and spend some time with seniors there.

Children are important at our church. Psalm 127:3 says, "Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him." Children are clearly a great reward but also a great responsibility. Child Dedication at Hope Community Church is not a sacrament nor is it a special source of salvation. Child dedication is where parents publicly express their heartfelt desire to follow God and to partner with our church to give their children over to the Lord and also to raise their children to follow God for their whole lives. It is also a public way we as a church declare our desire to pray for these families and support them as we are able. The scriptural root for this type of dedication is found in 1 Samuel 1:27-28 where it says, "I prayed for this child, and the Lord granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he will be given over to the Lord."

Child dedication will be held during special segments of the Sunday morning services to be held on May 27th and July 29th. Any parents interested in doing so are to contact the Elder who is overseeing this, Steve O'Bott, either by phone at 215-659-3285 or by e-mail at obott@mail.com - Steve will prepare families for this special time.
